Overview

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kabul – Drive to Bamiyan

Stop: Bamyan

Depending on your arrival time in Kabul, we’ll either set off for Bamiyan the same day (a 3–4 hour drive) or spend the night in Kabul and continue the next morning. Once in Bamiyan, there’s time to relax before visiting the site of the Buddhas of Bamiyan, a haunting reminder of the valley’s ancient history. Overnight: Guesthouse in Bamiyan

Day 2: Bamiyan to Ghor

Stop: Ghor

We hit the road early for a full day’s drive into the wild landscapes of Ghor. The journey itself is an adventure, winding mountain roads, small villages, and endless horizons. On arrival, you’ll have the chance to see some of Ghor’s ancient ruins and get a first feel for this remote, history-soaked region. Overnight: Local guesthouse in Ghor

Day 3: The Minaret of Jam

Stop: Ghor

Today we reach the jewel of the trip: the Minaret of Jam. Rising 65 meters above the valley floor, covered in intricate brickwork and Quranic inscriptions, it feels like stepping into another time. You’ll have time to explore the site, walk along the Hari River, and soak up the silence and beauty of this UNESCO World Heritage treasure. Day 4: Return to Kabul

Stop: Kabul

After breakfast, we begin the long but scenic drive back to Kabul. It’s another chance to take in the raw, rugged beauty of Afghanistan’s countryside. Arrive in Kabul by late afternoon or evening and check into your hotel. Overnight: Hotel in Kabul

Day 5: Kabul – Souvenirs & Departure

Stop: Kabul International Airport

If time allows before your flight, we’ll visit Kabul’s famous Antique Street — a colorful bazaar where you can pick up handmade crafts, carpets, jewelry, and unique souvenirs to take home. Afterwards, transfer to the airport for your onward journey.
