This tour is available both for solo travelers and groups.
Roads to Nuristan are long and mountainous, so driving times may be longer than expected. Patience and flexibility are important parts of the journey.
Accommodation in Kunar and Nuristan is in basic local guesthouses. They are clean and safe, but facilities are simple compared to hotels in Kabul.
Photography is generally fine, but it is polite to ask people before taking their picture, especially in villages.
Our guides and drivers are experienced locals who will ensure both safety and cultural respect during your journey.

Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Kabul

Stop: Khayber Hotel

Upon arrival at Kabul International Airport, our local team will greet you and transfer you to the hotel. After a short orientation, we begin with a light exploration of Kabul. You’ll stroll through the traditional Bird Market, a lively place filled not only with birds but also with small workshops, local shops, and artisans. This gives you the first glimpse of daily Afghan life. In the evening, enjoy a group dinner. Overnight at Khayber Hotel (4★ standard)

Day 2: Kabul to Nangarhar and Kunar

Stop: Local Guesthouse

After breakfast, we head east towards Jalalabad. The road takes us across the picturesque Sorubi Valley and the famous Mahipar Pass, offering dramatic mountain and river views. After lunch in Jalalabad, we continue our journey along the Kunar River, lined with villages and terraced fields, before reaching Asadabad, the capital of Kunar Province. Day 3: Kunar to Nuristan (Parun)

Stop: Local Guesthouse

Today is a full-day scenic drive into one of Afghanistan’s most remote and beautiful regions. The road follows winding rivers and forested valleys as we climb toward Parun, the administrative center of Nuristan. Along the way, there are several chances to stop, take photos, and experience life in rural Afghanistan. Overnight at Local Guesthouse, Parun (local standard)

Day 5 – Return to Kabu

Stop: Khayber Hotel

After breakfast, we begin the return journey, driving back through Kunar and Jalalabad before arriving in Kabul in the evening. You’ll have some free time to relax or explore Kabul’s bazaars for souvenirs. Overnight at Khayber Hotel (4★ standard)
